- Date
- 20 April 2026, 15:00 - 17:00
- Location
- techUK Office, 10 St Bride St, London, EC4A 4AD
*Please note this is an industry event and is not hosted or organised by the UK Semiconductor Centre. Please contact the organisers via the link for more details.
The event aims to ensure semiconductors are recognised as a foundational deep-tech enabler and to better demonstrate their value to government, investors, and end users to support policy, funding, and investment decisions.
The aim is to drive stronger integration, clearer supply chains, and explore and influence how we can use this convergence to move semiconductors up the national policy agenda.
Convergence with the AI Opportunities Action plan and Compute Roadmap will be a key theme for this event too.
4:15pm: Panel Discussion: Joining the dots: semiconductors role in the future of emerging technologies
- What is the future role of semiconductors beyond silicon and how critical are these technologies to next-generation AI, energy, defence or advanced manufacturing systems?
- Where do we need semiconductor–technology integration now to avoid shortages, lock-in, or capability gaps in 5–10 years?
- What parts of the UK semiconductor value chain are under-recognised - and how does that limit strategic decision-making?
- How can the sector better demonstrate its importance to government and end users?
- How the semiconductor ecosystem fits together across design, manufacturing, and end-use sectors?
- Where the UK’s most compelling opportunities lie over the next decade?
- How to improve visibility, collaboration, and strategic alignment across the ecosystem?
